The story of ZamZam’s origin traces back to Hagar, wife of Prophet Ibrahim and mother of Ismail, who ran in the desert heat in search of water for her baby.
Placing her trust in God fully, she was blessed with a spring of water known as Zam Zam for her efforts.
Hadith: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam; it is a kind of food and a healing from sickness.” (Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3302).
